Position Description
This Work Study student will report to Dr. Hazel Spears and provide support for the three courses she teaches. The work will focus on researching and identifying classroom tools such as music, videos, short articles, and games, as well as critiquing instructions for student assignments for clarity and usefulness.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify music, videos, and short articles.
- Devise Kahoot or other classroom games.
- Design and reproduce needed flyers, notices, and announcements of special events.
- Critique materials for student use such as instructions and rubrics for clarity and usefulness.
- Occasional photocopying of materials.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- GPA of 2.75 or higher, and status of sophomore or above
- Punctual (show up on time), and reliable (follow schedule consistently)
- Enjoys being creative
- Is a self-starter (able to generate ideas and find resources; stays off their phone)
