The Financial Services Center is seeking an intern to add to our team!

We are a busy financial planning firm with one advisor and five support staff. If you are enthusiastic about helping people get organized and achieve their financial goals, we want to meet you!

Our office is open Monday-Thursday, 8:00-5:00, and Friday 8:00-4:00. Days and hours can accommodate school schedule and will be decided upon with the successful candidate. A full-time opportunity may be offered at the completion of the internship.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both face-to-face and on the phone;
  • Professional demeanor and appearance;
  • Dependable and reliable;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be able to pass a background check;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, problem solve, and work under pressure;
  • Maintain confidentiality;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel;
  • Ability to master industry-specific technology platforms and websites;
  • Willingness to advance professional knowledge of the financial services industry

Responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships with clients, prospective clients, and vendors via phone, in person, and written communication;
  • Schedule, confirm, and prepare for meetings with clients and prospective clients;
  • Assist operations team with action items arising from client review meetings
  • Maintain records, including scanning, filing, and faxing;
  • Manage incoming and outgoing office correspondence, including bulk mailings and UPS drop-offs;
  • Answer phones, route calls, take and distribute messages;
  • Manage office supply inventory and ordering;
